The Common Denominator
So often in today’s political scene, we resort to admonishing our political opponents behind a slogan or rigid set of beliefs without taking the time to acknowledge that many politicized values– such as food security, housing, climate action, and dialogue– are held common among most of us in some basic capacity. The Common Denominator, a production of Harvard Undergraduates for Bipartisan Solutions, aims to bridge the growing fractures in our country by highlighting important political figures’ pleas for cooperation. In a nation where meaningful impact often comes second to political theater, there’s never been a better time for bipartisan action.
