Meet our Executive Team
Margaret Bowles | President
Margaret is a sophomore at Harvard College studying Government with a minor in economics. Outside of HUBS, Margaret is involved with the International Relations Council, the Philips Brooks House, and Harvard Run Club. She has also done a variety of work in Massachusetts State Politics including campaign organizing and legislative research. In her free time, Margaret enjoys running, swimming, biking, hiking, and any general excuse to spend time outdoors.
Cyrus Sarfaty | Vice President
Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Cyrus is a Freshman in Hurbult Hall passionate about encouraging cooperation in today’s polarized world. As an Associate U.S. Editor for Harvard Political Review and member of The Harvard Crimson editorial board, he hopes to emphasize the importance of bipartisanship through his podcast initiative: The Common Denominator.
William Sykes | Treasurer
William is a junior from Austin, Texas, studying Classics with a secondary in Economics. After serving as HUBS’ President in 2025, William is proud to continue advancing HUBS’ mission as Treasurer this year. Outside of HUBS, he is also the president of the Harvard Episcopal Chaplaincy.
Olamide Adekoya | Policy Director
Olamide is a freshman from New Jersey hoping to study History and Data Science. On campus, she’s part of the Student Advisory Board for the Mattering Initiative and an inaugural member of the DSO’s interfaith program. She also serves as the Freshman Representative for the Nigerian Student Association . Off campus, she’s involved with non-profit organizing at all levels and enjoys spending her time at the Massachusetts statehouse.
Anusha Shayegan| Communications & Media Director
Anusha is a Sophomore from Los Angeles, California, studying Government with a minor in Psychology. On campus, Anusha is also a part of the Small Claims Advisory Service’s Legal Advocacy Committee and is a performing member of one of Harvard’s improv troupes TLA. She is interested in public service and legal advocacy, and hopes to pursue a career in law.
